A question for Allen Hastings:
Will Lightwave 4.0 running on an NT box make use of
NT's ability to act as a background server, like an SQL
client/server database. It would in effect act as a
rendering server, allowing many low power machines to
to act as clients. This way workstations could be used
primarily for modelling and work that requires human
intervention (at night they would also render of course).
This is basically the oppositm of a rendering farm where
the workstations do the rendering controled by one master.
